Return the phone in good condition at the end of your term or keep it and pay the
$520.00 discount.
- WHATS SMART RETURN
- SmartReturn is a program offered by SaskTel that provides a flexible way to buy and upgrade your wireless phone. Here's how it works:
- Available on any SaskTel wireless 2-year voice & data plan (or 2-year data plan for tablets).
- Program Overview:
- When you purchase a phone under the SmartReturn program, you have two options near the end of your 2-year term:
Return the phone: You can return your phone in "good working condition" during the return period and upgrade to a new phone.
Keep the phone: You can choose to keep the phone and pay the SmartReturn payback amount, which is the discount you received when you initially bought the phone. This also applies if you cancel your service before the term ends. [1]
Return Period:
The return period starts 21 months after you buy the phone and lasts for 3 months. During this time, you can return the phone to a participating SaskTel Store or Authorized Dealer. [1]
Evaluation Criteria:
To return the phone, it must meet the "good working condition" criteria, which include:
The phone powers on and navigates properly.
The touchscreen or keyboard is responsive.
The phone is free of visible chips, cracks, or missing parts.
The battery and cover are included.
Security features like "Find My iPhone" or Activation Lock must be disabled, and the phone must be reset to factory settings. [1]
Device Financing:
If you financed your phone using SaskTel's Plus Pricing, you can either pay off the remaining balance when upgrading or continue making monthly payments until it's fully paid. [1]
Payback Amount:
If you don't return the phone in "good working condition" during the return period, or if you upgrade early, you'll need to pay the SmartReturn payback amount. [1]
Additional Notes:
If you have a Wireless Device Protection Plan, your phone is automatically eligible for return, even if it doesn't meet the "good working condition" criteria. [1]
